La proposta presentata al Parlamento Polacco sul divieto quasi assoluto di aborto non ha il sostegno del governo, ha dichiarato il vice-Primo Ministro polacco Jaroslaw Gowin. La proposta di legge dei cittadini, sostenuta dalla Chiesa Cattolica, renderebbe l'aborto illegale a meno che la vita della madre non sia a rischio. Lunedì, le donne polacche hanno scioperato e si sono riunite per manifestare contro la proposta di legge. Martedì il Primo Ministro Beata Szydlo ha detto che il suo governo "non sta lavorando ad alcuna legge di modifica delle regole sull'aborto in Polonia."
