Il caso riguarda un dipendente di un salone di parrucchieri licenziato mentre era malato. Secondo Liberation, il datore gli avrebbe accidentalmente inviato un messaggio con scritto: "Non ho intenzione di mantenere [il dipendente]... Non mi piace molto quel ragazzo. E' frocio." Per il tribunale di Parigi definire un parrucchiere "frocio" non è omofobia, "perché i saloni di parrucchieri spesso assumono persone gay, soprattutto quelli femminili e questo non rappresenta un problema per nessuno." Myriam el Khomri, ministro del lavoro francese, ha definito la sentenza "scandalosa e scioccante".
