El gobierno húngaro y UNICEF anunciaron esta semana un acuerdo para crear un Centro de Servicios Globales Compartidos en Budapest para supervisar buena parte de los servicios mundiales financieros y de recursos humanos de UNICEF. Entre las razones para la elección de Budapest está el bajo coste de la creación de empresas, la mano de obra altamente cualificada y la sólida infraestructura. "Cada dólar que pueda ahorrar UNICEF es un dólar para mejorar las vidas de los niños", dijo Anthony Lake. Los planes actuales prevén que el centro emplee a 350 personas, 85% de las cuales serán húngaras.
