Les llamaban "pollitos". Pero eran humanos, sirios transportados desde Italia al norte de Europa: en concreto a Dinamarca, Holanda y Alemania. Era una máquina que funcionaba perfectamente: el jefe de la organización, un egipcio de 37 años, estaba en contacto con otros traficantes en el sur de Italia. Los migrantes llegaban a Sicilia y se les enviaba a Milán, desde donde se les llevaba a países del norte de Europa por entre 500 y 1000 euros por persona. La operación fue descubierta después de que un egipcio al que le ofrecieron ser conductor de la organización acudiera a la policía.
