El 22 de agosto, Jūratė Guzevičiūtė, representante de HRMI, asistió al Tribunal de Distrito de la región de Trakai. Durante el juicio por incitación al odio, dio pruebas periciales sobre la libertad de expresión, sus restricciones, además de lo que constituye crímenes de odio y discurso. La acusada había hecho un comentario a un portal de noticias reclamando públicamente la destrucción física de un grupo basándose en su orientación sexual. El Tribunal no vio incitación al odio en la frase "necesitan ser destruidos, tan pronto como sea posible" ni en otras declaraciones similares y la absolvió.
