El Parlamento Europeo votó el miércoles a favor del llamado sistema de entradas y salidas, que verificará la identidad de las personas que crucen una frontera en varias bases de datos. El sistema, que quieren que entre en vigor en 2020, pretende registrar a todos los viajeros no pertenecientes a la UE en la zona Schengen, y sus defensores dicen que ayudará a detectar a terroristas que utilicen identificación falsa. Sus críticos sin embargo señalan que implicará una recolección de datos masiva y deportaciones ilegales.
