Los datos privados de transporte de cientos de estudiantes han sido transmitidos por Translink (compañía que gestiona la tarjeta chip de transporte público) al Ministerio de Educación de Países Bajos. DUO (Servicios Educativos) solicitó la información para investigar el fraude en las asignaciones que se conceden a los estudiantes para su transporte, y comprobar que la información sobre su domicilio es correcta. Translink violó una política que establece que esos datos solo pueden entregarse a terceros a petición de un fiscal. En mayo un juez dictaminó que DUO violaba las normas de privacidad.
