El gobierno búlgaro ha aprobado una reforma legislativa que permite enterrar a los bebés que nacen muertos. Las enmiendas se han adoptado gracias a las protestas de padres y madres y ONGs, entre ellas Poppies for Mary y el Bulgarian Helsinki Committee que reclamaban un marco legislativo que garantizara que los bebés que nacen muertos sean tratados como humanos y no como residuos biológicos.
