Las ventas del libro distópico de George Orwell "1984" se han disparado después de que una asesora del presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, dijera que su gobierno presenta "hechos alternativos" en una entrevista. El libro, escrito en 1949, utiliza el término "neolengua" para denominar un lenguaje ficticio cuyo objetivo es eliminar el pensamiento personal, y "doblepensar", que Orwell describía como "la facultad de sostener dos opiniones contradictorias simultáneamente y aceptar ambas".
