El presidente búlgaro ha vetado el proyecto de ley anticorrupción del Parlamento un día después de que el país comience su presidencia semestral de la UE. Rumen Radev anunció en un comunicado que la ley no solo no genera una base legal adecuada para luchar contra la corrupción, sino que incluso la dificultará. El proyecto de ley pretendía luchar contra la corrupción de alto nivel mediante la creación de una nueva unidad anti-sobornos, pero la independencia de este nuevo organismo es cuestionable, pues sus directores los eligirían directamente los diputados.
