El Parlamento lituano ha rechazado la enmienda a la Constitución que otorgaba a las personas el derecho de apelar individualmente ante el Tribunal Constitucional. La enmienda pretendía ampliar la lista de demandantes capaces de recurrir directamente al Tribunal, concediendo este derecho a los ciudadanos y a los defensores del pueblo. Los diputados que votaron en contra de la enmienda delcararon que no querían favorecer "más activismo constitucional".
