La rama italiana de Amnistía Internacional ha otorgado el Premio del Arte y los Derechos Humanos 2014 a Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, una banda de música popular con 40 años de Salento. La canción premiada es la conmovedora "Solo andata" (hacia fuera), tomada de un poema de Erri De Luca y se refiere a los migrantes y refugiados que arriesgan sus vidas en las fronteras de Europa.
