Alemania anulará las penas de 50.000 hombres condenados por el conocido artículo 175 del código penal. Fueron muchos los que fueron a la cárcel por este artículo y algunos de ellos se quitaron la vida por el estigma que suponía. El ministro de justicia Heiko Maas declaró que era una injusticia y que aquellos que aún viven recibirían una indemnización. La proposición de ley, respaldada por Berlín, supondrá la anulación de las condenas e indemnizaciones para los hombres condenados de 3.000 €, más 1.500 € por cada año en la cárcel. Se cree que unos 5.000 hombres tienen derecho a indemnización.
