El ex presidente de la Unión de Federaciones de Fútbol Europeas (UEFA), Michel Platini, ha presentado un recurso contra Suiza ante el Tribunal Europeo de Derechos Humanos (TEDH) alegando que se han violado sus derechos humanos. El TEDH ha confirmado que la ha recibido. Platini, uno de los jugadores estrella de Francia en la década de 1980, que más tarde se convirtió en presidente de la UEFA, ha recurrido la suspensión de toda actividad ligada al fútbol durante ocho años, luego reducida a cuatro, impuesta por el Comité de Ética de la FIFA, debido a sus irregularidades financieras.
