Ameer Alkhawlana, post-doctorant irakien, a été renvoyé vers son pays d'origine, a déclaré l'un de ses représentants. Ameer est arrivé en Pologne en 2014 pour y étudier, et en octobre 2016, il a été arrêté puis placé dans un centre de détention pour migrants. Ses droits de la défense n'ont pas été respectés, et à ce, à aucun moment au cours des procédures d'expulsion. L'accès à son dossier ne lui a même pas été accordé. À ce jour, on ne sait toujours pas avec précision pourquoi il était considéré comme une menace à la sécurité nationale.
