L'amicus curiae est devenu un instrument légal qui peut être utilisé en Roumanie par les ONG des droits de l'homme. APADOR-CH a brisé la glace en utilisant amicus curiae pour intervenir à deux reprises dans les débats sur la constitutionnalité des lois dans les cas jugés par la Cour constitutionnelle roumaine (CCR). Chaque ONG avec une expertise dans un domaine particulier, et qui voudrait soutenir la CCR, peut intervenir dans la procédure devant la Cour en envoyant un amicus curiae.
