Un Pakistanais de 57ans, qui vit en Italie depuis longtemps, se trouve maintenant dans la prison de Rebibbia à Rome pour purger une peine pour trafic de drogue où il a pris part il y a 19 ans. Pendant ces 19 années, Iqbal Muhammad a mené une vie honnête en Italie, a fondé une famille sans se cacher de la justice. Ce n’est plus le même homme qu'il était il y a 20 ans, mais il doit passer près de 10 ans en prison. C’est une violation flagrante de l'article 6 de la Convention sur les droits de l'homme (droit à un procès équitable). La grâce présidentielle est le seul espoir d’Iqbal.
