La Belgique lors de rassemblements et d'une marche contre la haine, organisée le 11 janvier, a rendu hommage aux victimes des extrémistes religieux, parmi lesquels des journalistes de l'hebdomadaire satirique Charlie Hebdo. Plus de 20000 personnes se sont rassemblées à Bruxelles et à Mons pour témoigner de leur refus de l'intolérance et pour exprimer leur attachement à la liberté d'expression.
