Wojny i konflikty, które szaleją na całym świecie powodują, że ponad 1,19 mln osób będzie wymagało przesiedlenia w roku 2017 - mówi najnowszy raport Wysokiego Komisarza ONZ ds. Uchodźców (UNHCR). Prawdopodobnie 40% z nich to będą Syryjczycy, jak na razie największa grupa, a raport jednoznacznie mówi, że potrzeba przestrzeni dla przesiedleńców wielokrotnie przewyższa ilość dostępnych miejsc. Komisarz Filippo Grandi powiedział, że "obserwujemy proces przesiedleń na niespotykaną wcześniej skalę" i zauważył, że w 2014 r. szacowana liczba przesiedleńców wynosiła 691 tys.
