Italian Coalition for Civil Liberties and Rights

Founded in 2014, the Italian Coalition for Civil Liberties and Rights (CILD) supports and empowers civil society groups working to address some of the most pressing human rights issues faced by the country today, through a combination of capacity building on policy analysis, advocacy, media strategy and public education. Its work is coordinated by a secretariat and it currently includes more than 30 national civil society organizations working mainly on migration and international protection of migrants, LGBTI, prisoners’ rights, drug policy reform, freedom of expression, access to information, transparency and accountability at local and national levels.
