Il Partito Democratico Olandese (D66), il Partito Laburista (PvdA) e il Partito dei Verdi (GroenLinks) hanno presentato un disegno di legge per tutelare i diritti delle minoranze sessuali, tra cui transessuali e intersessuali. Il disegno è stato presentato a inizio mese, durante il Gay Pride di Amsterdam. Secondo i partiti, le minoranze sessuali incontrano ancora difficoltà ad "integrarsi" e dovrebbero essere meglio tutelate giuridicamente per potersi esprimere appieno. Affinché questo avvenga, la Legge sulla Parità di Trattamento dovrebbe essere modificata per includere l'identità di genere.
