The Civil Liberties Union for Europe received a $50,000 donation from Proton, known for its secure digital solutions. Liberties was selected for the 2023 Proton Lifetime Charity Fundraiser through Proton users’ recommendations.
"We are truly honored to be nominated by the Proton community and to be selected among such respected rights groups and activists as a beneficiary of the 2023 Proton Lifetime Charity Fundraiser. The raised funds will help Liberties strengthen its Tech and Rights Team and protect the rights of everyone in the EU and beyond," said Balazs Denes, Executive Director of Liberties.
Liberties is one of the ten beneficiaries of the 2023 Proton Lifetime Charity Fundraiser, which supports organizations that “have a positive impact on privacy, freedom, and human rights around the world.” We were selected as a beneficiary among respected rights groups such as Bellingcat, Forbidden Stories, Tactical Tech, Médecins Sans Frontières, Tor, and the Freedom of the Press Foundation.
