For the ninth consecutive year, people marched through the streets of Bulgaria's capital for Sofia Pride. This year's event was attended by over 2,100 people – 600 more participants than last year's parade. The march began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting. This year, 17 foreign ambassadors expressed their support for the event, and the Bulgarian president sent a letter of support for the first time.
