Dane holenderskiego Urzędu Statystyczego (CBS) wskazują, że prawie dwie trzecie Holendrów nie ufa lub ufa w niewielkim stopniu parlamentowi. Około 36 procent respondentów ma dobre uczucia wobec Unii Europejskiej. W porównaniu z innymi krajami europejskimi, Holandia ma wysoki wynik, jeśli chodzi o zaufanie do instytucji. W wielu państwach Europy, zaufanie do UE i parlamentu jest znacznie niższe. Według CBS, Holendrzy zwłaszcza ufają autorytatywnym organom. Około 70 procent obywateli Holandii ufa sędziom i policji.
