Zwolennicy populistycznego ruchu z aspiracjami politycznymi wpisują się w narastające nacjonalistyczne i antyimigracyjne e nastroje w Europie. Najgłośniejszym ugrupowaniem ekstremistycznym jest grupa Nie Chcemy Islamu w Czechach, która zorganizowała pięć dużych demonstracji.
