Un giornalista polacco che stava scrivendo un articolo ha inviato alcune domande ad una società per un commento. Questa ha ritenuto il contenuto delle domande dannoso per la sua reputazione e ha fatto denuncia per diffamazione, nonostante l'articolo alla fine non sia stato pubblicato. Il tribunale non ha considerato dannose le azioni del giornalista e ha archiviato il caso. "Se il giornalista fosse stato condannato, sarebbe stato un pericoloso precedente" ha dichiarato Dorota Glowacka, coordinatore dell'Osservatorio sulla Libertà dei Media in Polonia dell'Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.
