Martedì Freedom House ha pubblicato la valutazione annuale dei paesi post-socialisti. Il rapporto, Nazioni in Transito 2015, declassifica l'Ungheria dalla categoria "Democrazie Consolidate" a "Democrazie Semi-Consolidate." Negli scorsi anni, l'osservatorio internazionale con sede a Washington ha preso in esame 29 paesi (nell'Europa Centrale, nei Balcani e gli stati membri dell'ex Unione Sovietica). Nel rapporto, l'Ungheria è classificata ottava su 29 paesi, tra la Slovacchia e la Bulgaria.
