In un rapporto dell'European Network of Councils for the Judiciary sull'indipendenza e sulla responsabilità dei giudici, il 97% dei giudici olandesi dichiara di non aver ricevuto pressioni inopportune nel prendere le decisioni sui casi negli ultimi due anni. Molti paesi europei presentano percentuali simili. Saliamo al 99% dei giudici danesi e irlandesi. Lettonia (64%), Albania (67%) e Spagna (80%) sono i paesi in cui i giudici hanno dichiarato di ricevere pressioni in misura maggiore. In termini di indipendenza, i giudici olandesi si aggiudicano un 9.3 su una scala che va da 1 a 10.
