Il Parlamento Lituano sta discutendo un disegno di legge sulle attività lobbiste. Esso intenderebbe prevenire lobbismo e influenza di interessi privati. Tuttavia la legge regolerebbe anche le attività delle ONG in quanto portatrici di interessi e verrebbe applicata anche agli operatori delle organizzazioni no-profit. Il lobbismo viene definito come l'insieme di azioni volte ad influenzare politici e pubblici ufficiali per approvare o abrogare una legge. Se la legge passasse, soltanto i lobbisti che hanno sottoscritto un impegno con la Commissione Etica sarebbero autorizzati a fare pressioni.
