Andreas Hollstein, sindaco conservatore della città di Altena, è stato pugnalato al collo in un negozio di kebab. E' stato curato in ospedale e al momento è in convalescenza presso la famiglia. Altena è conosciuta in tutta la Germania per aver accolto più migranti di quanto previsto dalla sua quota. I media tedeschi riportano che durante l'aggressione l'assalitore ha criticato le sue politiche in tema di asilo.
