Il numero totale si aggira sulle 173,000 persone secondo Frontex, l'agenzia di frontiera dell'UE. La maggioranza - 112,000 persone - ha attraversato il mare verso l'Italia e proviene dalla Tunisia. Nel corridoio greco sono passate 31,500 persone. I numeri in Spagna sono saliti del 100%, arrivando a 15,500.
