La Curia, la Corte Suprema ungherese, ha ribaltato la decisione della Commissione Nazionale per le Elezioni e ha detto sì al referendum per ritirare la cosiddetta legge sulle ONG. La controversa legge stigmatizza le ONG come agenti stranieri e pone ostacoli non necessari su di loro in nome della trasparenza. Il referendum è stato richiesto da un cittadino privato affiliato a un nuovo partito, Momentum. Con la decisione della Curia, potrà partire la raccolta firme. In una nota separata, a settembre 23 ONG avevano presentato un appello congiunto alla Curia contro la legge.
