Una nuova legge sulla protezione dei minori non accompagnati è entrata in vigore ad aprile in Italia. La legge prevede 'tutori volontari', persone che scelgono liberamente di assistere uno o più minori arrivati in Italia senza alcun familiare o adulto che si prenda cura di loro. I tutori aiutano i minori a iscriversi a scuola, ottenere l'assistenza sanitaria e avere un'adeguata tutela legale. Ad oggi sono 2,100 gli italiani che hanno presentato domanda per diventare tutori volontari. E' solo all'inizio, ma il programma contribuirà a creare un futuro migliore per i giovani migranti.
