Nel 2007 la giornalista rumena Feri Predescu era stata condannata per aver criticato in televisione Radu Mazăre, sindaco di Constanţa. Le era stata comminata una sentenza di risarcimento pari a 11,000 euro. La Corte Europea dei Diritti Umani (Corte EDU) adesso ha riscontrato una violazione del suo diritto di parola. Per la Corte la Romania ha violato l'Articolo 10 della Convenzione, per questo ha condannato lo stato rumeno a pagare alla giornalista 14,000 per danni materiali e 4,500 euro per danni morali. Feri Predescu è stata rappresentata di fronte alla Corte EDU da APADOR-CH.
