A capodanno 1,100 migranti africani hanno preso d'assalto il confine spagnolo di Ceuta, il bilancio è di 50 cittadini marocchini e 5 poliziotti spagnoli feriti. I migranti stavano tentando di entrare nel territorio spagnolo, ma soltanto in due sono riusciti a scavalcare la recinzione alta 6 metri. Entrambi sono finiti in ospedale e un poliziotto ha perso un occhio, secondo gli ufficiali. Ogni anno centinaia di migranti africani che vivono in maniera irregolare in Marocco provano a entrare a Ceuta e Melilla, altra enclave spagnola nel Nord Africa, nella speranza di raggiungere l'Europa.
