Il 29 novembre la Commissione Giustizia del Parlamento Belga voterà la legge nota come "Poutpurri IV". La proposta di legge è stata presentata dal governo per riformare il sistema della giustizia del paese. La riforma era un'occasione per implementare il National Preventive Mechanism (NPM), cosa che l'ONU chiede al Belgio di fare dal 2005. Ma la legge non menziona l'NPM, nè prevede la creazione di un'autorità conforme alle autorità nazionali. La questione della tortura avrebbe dovuto essere presa molto più in considerazione in questo processo di riforma.
