L'amicus curiae è diventato uno strumento giuridico che può essere efficacemente utilizzato in Romania dalle ONG per i diritti umani. APADOR-CH ha rotto il ghiaccio ricorrendo all'amicus curiae in due giudizi di costituzionalità davanti alla Corte Costituzionale della Romania (CCR). Le ONG con competenze in un determinato campo, che vogliono contribuire al lavoro della CCR, possono intervenire in un procedimento dinanzi alla Corte inviando un amicus curiae.
