El ministro húngaro de justicia, László Trócsányi, ha propuesto una ley que otorgaría una protección jurídica contra la creación y publicación rápida de fotografías no autorizadas. En la práctica, esto significaría que hacer un "selfie" en el que aparece otra persona sería una violación de la ley, siempre que no se solicite la autorización de la persona antes de publicar la foto. ¿Constituye de veras una amenaza grave contra la privacidad hacer una fotografía que incluya accidentalmente a una persona desconocida?
