El VIH crece en Europa y Asia Central – contrario al declive mundial que se ha visto en el tema de infecciones nuevas de VIH, en Europa el numero de casos recién reportados esta creciendo. En el 2012 se registraron más de 131.000 casos nuevos de infección por VIH en Europa y Asia Central, un incremento del 8% desde el 2011. De estos casos, 29.000 fueron registrados en la UE y en la área económica europea (UE/AEE), un 1% más que el año anterior.
