Marco Cappato, activista italiano por la libertad de investigación científica y la introducción de la eutanasia, será juzgado por llevar a Suiza a Dj Fabo, ciego y tetrapléjico, para someterse a un suicidio médico asistido, una práctica prohibida en Italia. Cappato ha sido acusado de haber facilitado el suicidio de Fabo, e incluso por haber reforzado la voluntad de Fabo de suicidarse. Cappato está dispuesto a asumir la responsabilidad de sus actos y cuestionar la ley en base a la cual va a ser juzgado, que se remonta a 1930. Espera que su juicio contribuya a crear una nueva ley.
