Member organizations of the Civic Solidarity Platform expressed concern over the present constitutional crisis in Poland, which, in their opinion, poses a threat to the rule of law and the principle of separation of powers. It was stressed that the amendment of the Act on the Constitutional Tribunal may result in blocking its work and could threaten the independence of judges, diminishing the importance and authority of this court. According to the network, weakening the status of the Constitutional Tribunal can decrease the effectiveness of the human rights protection system in Poland.
