The Czech government approved the resettlement of 153 Christian refugees from Iraq and Lebanon. Their relocation was initiated by the Generace 21 Fund, which will provide most of the costs. The families are currently in several refugee camps in Irbil, Iraq, and other places. Christians were driven out of Mosul and Bakhdida and other surrounding villages last August. Refugees will be concentrated together, at first, in a facility where they will learn the Czech language. They should be divided into four or five groups and relocated to various regional cities after six months.
