Activists belonging to different Spanish organizations conducted a field visit to Melilla, where Spain borders Morocco, to document the human rights violations that are being committed by immigration authorities on both sides of the border. The Commission of Human Rights Observers, the group organized by the activists, spent four days in Melilla during July and documented mistreatment by police officers from both countries and other violations of Spanish deportation laws. Their report will soon be published and sent to different international torture overview bodies.
