The Hungarian Civil Liberties Union will provide its detailed opinion of the proposal, which at first glance appears to fail to justify the necessity of keeping complete records. The organization claims this is both unnecessary and unconstitutional. Such a database, to be accessed by various institutions for widely defined purposes, would also severely restrict the right to the protection of personal data.
