The situation of refugees on the Greek island of Lesbos has reached a "breaking point," according to a new report by Refugee Rights Europe. The findings state that physical and mental health problems are rife on the island and thousands of people live in constant fear of developing serious illnesses. The report also noted that reports of violence and racially motivated attacks on refugees by police are now common – of 311 asylum seekers interviewed for the report, nearly half saying they had been victims of police abuse.
