Malta Gets Highest Marks for Inclusive Education for LGBTQI Youths

When it comes to providing inclusive education for LGBTQI youths, no Council of Europe (CoE) country does it better than Malta. The LGBTQI Inclusive Education Report, conducted by IGLYO, the International LGBTQI Youth and Students Organisation, aims to assess the levels of discrimination on the basis of gender that exist in CoE states. Malta scored full marks in 9 of the 10 indicators of the report, which include anti-discrimination laws applicable to education, inclusive national curricula, support systems, policies and mandatory teacher training on LGBTIQ awareness.
