Next Friday, over 70.000 signatures, collected by italian activists gathered in the campaign 'Ero straniero – L’umanità che fa bene', will be submitted to the Chamber of Deputies. The signatures have been collected in order to support a citizens' initiative aiming to change current immigration law, knows as 'Legge Bossi-Fini'. The motion - promoted among others by the Italian Coalition for Civil Liberties and Rights - provides for legal and safe channels for working in our country, for the regularization of the immigrants already settled and for the abolition of the illegal immigration crime.
