European Digital Rights (EDRi) has presented its 2016 awards, the "first ever third edition" of the annual awards event. This year's awards ranged from the "'Humpty Dumpty Award' for the most silly 'statistics'" – given to a think tank that warned of bogus trade barriers – to the more serious "Heroes who keeps us energized award," which was awarded jointly to the OSCE's freedom of expression representative and the UN's special rapporteur on freedom of opinion and expression
