According to the European Court of Human Rights, Hungarian authorities violated the European Convention during proceedings in the case of a woman from Gyöngyöspata who was severely threatened by a member of the Betyársereg (Army of Outlaws) group in spring 2011, when extremists were "patrolling" in the village. The judgment of the court is especially significant for stating that the point of the case in the eyes of the court is that the applicant was threatened due to her Roma origins, which inevitably concerned her privacy and ethnic identity. The judgment is available here.
