The Diversity Media Awards (DMA), organized by Italian association Diversity Lab, is an event celebrating the best characters and media publications that contributed to a positive representation LGBTI people and themes.

The purpose of the event, aside from recognizing important work, is to broadcast a positive vision of diversity and to promote an inclusive society – because change is coming out!

Meet the DMA 2017 winners

The second edition of the Diversity Media Awards recently took place in Milan, with the support of many important partners and sponsors.

  • Best foreign TV series: "Modern family" – an American series that shows how all happy families are the same.
  • Best TV show: "Rai's Stato civile" (a play on the words "civil union" and "civil state") – a show that it beautifully narrates how love is love.
